Charity, Spirit, & Joy as DMS Says Goodbye to 2023

DMS Student Council collected over 250 gifts for local preschoolers in the Chester County Head Start Program. 

 

DMS students were very busy in the final weeks of December, leading up to Winter Vacation and the end of the calendar year. 

The DMS music department showcased a wealth of talent in their annual series of winter concert performances. Student musicians in the band, orchestra, and chorus & vocal ensembles performed for friends and families throughout the month and featured a wide variety of contemporary and traditional holiday tunes. DMS Student Council brought out the giving spirit throughout the school by carrying out a holiday toy drive to benefit local children in the Chester County Head Start Program. Students collected, wrapped, and delivered over 250 gifts for the preschoolers! (Pictured above). 

Lead by the DMS Student Council, staff and students were encouraged to show their holiday spirit each day during the final week before break. Spirit themes, including ugly sweaters, holiday headwear, and pajama day, gave the Lancers a chance to have fun, be merry, and even win prizes throughout the week.

Ms. Johnson's Life Skills class held a holiday chocolate pretzel sale to provide tasty treats at each lunch period and raise funds for the program.
