Faculty Topple Students in Annual Charity Basketball Game
In one of the longest-standing traditions at Downingtown Middle School, students and faculty members faced off once again for the annual Students Vs. Faculty basketball game. The charity event capped off a week of school-wide competition and fundraising efforts aimed at supporting families in need.
Students from all DMS homerooms battled with their bills and change during an intense 3-day long "Coin Shootout". 7th and 8th-grade teams went head-to-head to see who could bring in the biggest loads of cash for a cause. Teams 7B and 8D emerged victorious, knocking out their opponents by gathering heaps of change each day.
Friday night's basketball game was the icing on the cake, and the FACULTY team eventually emerged victorious. In the end, everyone was a winner, especially our raffle winners and anyone who was in the stands to watch the battle unfold.
Thanks to all students, staff, and volunteers who made the occasion a success!
